Focus List Criteria
Climate Engagement Canada’s Focus List is based on the following:
Impact: Is the company within the top GHG emitters on the Toronto Stock Exchange (with a focus on the top 30)?
Influence: Do participating CEC investors hold the company or not?
Consistency: Was the company on the original list launched and does it support a strategy of ongoing and maintained engagement?
Progress: Does the company still need to make significant progress across CEC’s Benchmark and Alignment Assessments?

Energy (22.5% of focus list companies): ARC Resources Ltd.; Cenovus Energy Inc.; Enbridge.; Keyera Corp.; MEG Energy Corp.; Pembina Pipeline Corp.; TC Energy Corp.; Tourmaline Oil Corp.; Whitecap Resources Inc.
Utilities (22.5% of focus list companies): Algonquin Power and Utilities Corp.; AltaGas Ltd.; Atco Ltd.; Brookfield Infrastructure Partners; Capital Power Corp.; Emera Inc.; Fortis Inc.; Superior Plus Corp.; TransAlta Corp.

Algonquin Power and Utilities Corp., Algoma Steel and Cleveland Cliffs are added to the Focus List and Enerplus Corp. and Vermillion Energy Inc. are removed
Total Number of Companies:40
Algonquin Power and Algoma Steel added to the Focus List as both are now within the top 30 highest emitters on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Stelco Holdings was acquired by Cleveland Cliffs. Whitecap Resources announced consolidation with Veren. Enerplus was acquired by Chord Energy and Vermillion saw a lack of CEC participant interest and a drop in GHG ranking to 58th on TSX. As a result, both are removed.
